Treasurer Report – Balance is approximately $10,100
- Tax Exempt application has been filed
Kay still has certificates for 2008 meetings
Keep Kay in your prayers – she was sick and hospitalized, but is feeling better and at home now

February Director’s retreat at The Hideaway is scheduled for February 4th to 5th and we will have guest speaker Dr. Marlene Bizub
Discussion on new Group Leader Qualifications
- May 2010 will need 2 courses of ECE, 1,800 hrs. documented experience or 5 different degrees will be accepted
- 2016 there will be more new requirements
- Early childhood Professional Credential (evaluate transcripts for free, contact katrinaboykin@ccd.edu)
- Teach scholarship has money available (qualistar.org and click on link for professionals)
- Janiece Kneppe teaches Guidance and Early Childhood through Red Rocks Community College

Inservice Update – Lorna Tamsett (cell phone 303-941-7716, e-mail ltamsett@cherrycreekpres.org with eccda in memo line)
- Please make sure everyone registered has correct class numbers, there are some classes that are two sessions that have different class numbers
- Folders will be done Tuesday, 9/29 at 2 pm at CLC (contact Ida Mae Custer for more information if you are on this committee)
- Set Up crew needs to arrive at 3 pm on Thursday
- AM greeters please arrive by 7 am Friday morning
- Take Down crew will have room assignments from Lorna
- No one is needed to help Chris & Mary cover vendors, they should still be able to attend sessions
- Please enter driveway and follow signs to the right (start in CLC bldg. #1000)
- There will be folders for each Director with all your staff’s nametags
- Lorna will have everyone’s job assignments the day of Inservice
- Feeding the 5,000 will be coordinated by Kay, she will let us know more information on this (what we need to bring and where)
- We do not need to bring centerpieces or placemats
- Directors can attend the following sessions (Breakfast Crew – 3 & 4, Lunch Crew – 1 & 4, Set Up crew – 1 & 2, Take Down crew – 3 & 4)
- Lorna will e-mail all final times and information
Discussion Topic – What do teachers need most from their Directors?
- Be available (What can I do for you?)
- Prayer leader
- Greet them (say Hello)
- Chocolate, treats, meals (If you don’t feed the teachers they will eat the students)
- Visible in class/center
- Tell them what they do well in front of others
- Payroll on silver platter
- Be an advocate, the answer person (have ideas, supplies, help when needed
- Be validated and encouraged
- Use kind words
