ECCDA Minutes – January 18, 2008

Approval of Minutes for November meeting

Treasurer Report – Balance of $10,063.19 (12/31/07)

- List of paid dues and those who still owe was reviewed (Schools who still owe dues are Lakewood United Methodist, Open Door Preschool, Cherry Creek Preschool, Foothills Christian Preschool, Genesis Presbyterian Preschool, Bethel Christian School) This is who is on my directory that had not paid by the November meeting. Dues can be paid to Barbara Biegel (16037 Whitestone Dr. Parker, CO 80134)

Alison Cejka led her last meeting as President

- Kay Swanson was elected President

- Joy Hettich was elected Vice President

- Melissa Holley will continue as Secretary

- Barbara Biegel will continue as Treasurer

Changes made to by-laws will be added and signatures gathered at the next meeting

- VP description to include being in charge of Inservice registrations

- Secretary & Treasurer can be re-elected to more than one term

- Secretary will be elected in even years and Treasurer will be elected in odd years

- Five of Eight meetings will now be needed to meet the requirement for member ship rate for the Inservice – you can now count the February retreat/Director Inservice)

- Membership dues will be $35 if only one member of the school will be attending meetings or they send an alternate in their place, dues will be $70 if two members of the school will be attending all meetings

Policies of ECCDA to be done and will include items that are not by-laws, but things we should follow

- Fill out reimbursement receipt for lunches & items bought for ECCDA (Treasurer will keep these forms)

- Scholarships for membership dues will be available (need & approval will be reviewed by officers & a form will need to be filled out)

Retreat to The Hideaway was discussed

- The 16 spots available have been filled and these members will be contacted with further information

- Kay has a guest speaker (Jan from Director’s class, speaking on “How to Deal With Parents”) and will be negotiating with her on rates, alternate choice is Beth Walker on personal growth

Recruiting new members

- Please send information to Melissa at snownerds@netzero.net with information

- An invitation will be sent to possible new members inviting them to our March meeting

Director positions available

Member nametags

- It was voted to not do shirts and to get nametags for those who do not have them

- Kay will get new ones and will be e-mailed list of those who need them

New regulations discussion

- Kay has list put together and it will be e-mailed to all and you are encouraged to discuss with each other outside of meetings

Birthday deadlines for class placement

- Most schools follow October 1^st like public schools

- Some do September 15^th, November 1^st or November 15^th

Director training hours

- Alison will do a certificate for 2007 hours and get them to everyone

ECCDA Directory will be updated and new ones e-mailed to all.
